18 month old little boy named Kaeli Jevdenijvic diagnosed with a Grace II Ependymoma, a brain tumour on December 17,2023. Went to Brisbane to have the mass removed only to find wrapped around his brain stem and nerves that control the face, eyes and ears. They took the risk and after 9 hours surgery got the news it had been removed but he has suffered damage to a facial nerve, paralysing part of his eye, cheek and voice box. The treatment option with the best outcome is called proton therapy and can only be done in the US and costs more than $US190,000 ($AUD291,000) which finances the treatment as well as accommodation for 10 weeks. The Queensland Childrens Hospital have applied for Commonwealth assistance but as time is running out fundraising is being done
